The project started in 2011, in addition to including the annual competition in Portugal aims to provide a complete learning environment in technology by fostering creativity and competence. In this way and in addition to the annual competition, the project is associated with the development of: a robotics kit (Grígora S) firmware in the form of Arduino libraries available and supported on the GitHub community, workshops for students and teachers, outreach activities in schools, spread on the official site of the event and scientific publications. Currently the project also includes a graphical programming language - Scratch.
